Novanta is seeking a Production Planner for a temporary contract through March 2027. You will develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory objectives, and manufacturing capacity, coordinating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, and Customer Service.

This role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, identifying risks, and keeping ERP/MRP data accurate. The position offers exposure to a transfer project and business-continuity support across the site.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing business needs.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data within the ERP/MRP system.
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.

The Production Planner is a temporary contract role through March of 2027 and is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that support customer demand, inventory objectives, and manufacturing capacity. This role coordinates closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, and Customer Service to ensure production priorities are clearly communicated, and materials are available to support on-time delivery. This temporary role will help ensure business continuity to Novanta customers during the production site transfer project.

• - Experience supporting S&OE or production execution processes.
