Job summary

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Production Planner for a North Syracuse, NY manufacturing company. This temporary, full-time contract supports production scheduling, material availability, and shop floor operations during a facility transition.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable coordinating with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Materials teams. ERP experience with Oracle or SAP and strong Excel skills are required. Recent supply chain graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations preferred.
• ERP experience required; Oracle preferred, but SAP or other ERP systems accepted.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Recent supply chain graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor work orders, inventory levels, material shortages, and production priorities.
• Utilize ERP systems and Excel to track production activities, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Lead production meetings, communicate priorities, and follow up with team members to ensure accountability.
• Identify scheduling issues, investigate shortages, and coordinate solutions with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Materials teams.
• Work approximately 80% in an office environment and 20% on the manufacturing floor resolving production challenges.

Location: North Syracuse, NY

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Contract

Duration: Through March 31, 2027

Compensation: $25-40/hr. based on experience

Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Production Planner for a manufacturing company in North Syracuse, NY. This temporary contract position will support production scheduling, material availability, and manufacturing operations during a facility transition.

The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical problem solver who enjoys working through challenges, coordinating with different departments, and keeping production on track. We are open to both experienced professionals and recent supply chain graduates looking to gain hands-on manufacturing experience.
