Job summary

Ultradent Products Inc in Utah (South Jordan) seeks a Manufacturing Scheduler/Production Planner to develop an executable production schedule, balance inventory, and maximize on-time delivery while minimizing inventory liability.

Duties include developing inventory plans, analyzing demand vs. capacity, applying MTS/MTO/ATO strategies, communicating changes to manufacturing, and tracking finish goods and capacity metrics.

Qualifications

• MRP knowledge with ability to develop an executable plan.
• 3-5 years of production planning experience ideal.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory plans to balance resources and materials through the supply chain.
• Develop an attainable production schedule by analyzing demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
• Utilize Make to Stock, Make to Order and Assemble to Order strategies to support customer demand.
• Analyze variations to the demand plan and create a path forward.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to understand changes to the product plan and service needs.
• Drive key operational measurements including finish goods and subassembly inventory levels and capacity metrics.

Production PlannerUltradent, the global name in oral health is seeking a manufacturing Scheduler/Production Planner to join Ultradent's Planning team. The production planner is responsible for developing an executable production schedule for a given set of products, control costs by planning material and labor, and Maximize customer delivery while minimizing inventory liability.Important job duties:Develop and maintain inventory plans to balance resources and materials through the supply chain.Develop an attainable production schedule by analyzing the demand forecast, understanding capacity constraints and passing production requirements to manufacturing.Utilize Make to Stock (MTS), Make to Order (MTO) and Assemble to Order (ATO) strategies to support customer demand.Analyze variations/changes to the demand plan and strategically create a path forward.Work closely with manufacturing to understand and quantify changes to the product plan to best service our customers.Drive key operational measurements including finish goods and sub assembly inventory levels, and Capacity/Resource measurements.What we’re looking for in you:Strong understanding of MRP logic along with order modifiers to develop an executable plan.3-5 years of prior experience in production planning is ideal.Basic understanding of Supply Chain.Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Practices and/or APICS certification.What you’ll need to succeed:Ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.Ultradent is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
