Job summary

EDI Staffing seeks a Production Planner to organize production planning based on inventory analysis and forward warehouse coordination. You will develop and maintain the production schedule, raw material plan, and intercompany purchase requirements to meet customer needs under direction from the Production Planning Manager.

Responsibilities include scheduling lines, planning by year/quarter/month/week, ensuring on-time delivery, and using SAP to support planning activities.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support Production Manager to manage stock levels for seasonal demand to maximize product sales.
• Schedule production lines to meet customer and forecasted demands.
• Plan machine schedules yearly, quarterly, monthly, and weekly.
• Manage stock effectively to meet seasonal demands.
• Maintain high level of inventory accuracy.
• Communicate the planning of production and/or stoppage of production lines to management.
• Assist planning team to organize timely delivery of goods to customers
• Receive customer/work orders and ensure their completion using internal procedures.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of systems, including audits and training.
• Receive/review orders and ensure completion using internal procedures.
• Manage capacity planning for production lines.
• Effectively use SAP and computerized systems.
• Maintain good relationships with cross-functional departments.
• Assist in ensuring a high level of production schedule attainment.
• Perform any other duty reasonably related to the role.

Responsible for the development and maintenance of the production schedule, raw material plan, and intercompany purchase requirements to ensure customer needs are met, as directed by the Production Planning Manager.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
