The role involves coordinating with customers to accept orders, updating schedules for compounding and filling, and using our ERP system to enter and track work orders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules for compounding and filling based on demand, resources, and inventory.
• Execute and communicate schedule changes due to delays or demand changes.
• Act as primary contact with customers to accept orders and provide updates.
• Facilitate recurring meetings with customers to align on production and inventory.
• Enter and schedule work orders in the ERP system and adjust as needed.
• Provide information to Operations on daily lines to support labor planning.
• Understand production equipment and resources to improve planning.
• Maintain visual scheduling boards with the Operations team.
• Confirm inventory availability to execute the plan.
• Assist Quality with change controls to align paperwork with specs.

Production Planner - Personal Care Contract Manufacturing

Evergreen Innovations , located in Minneapolis, MN , is a leader in the personal care contract manufacturing industry. The company makes a wide variety of personal care and home care products for several well-known consumer brands. We are currently seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team and contribute to our continued growth. This role is responsible for developing short- and long-term plans for the Operations team to execute. The Production Planner also works directly with our customers to provide timely communication and ensure inventory availability to support demand .

Job Duties

• Create and maintain production schedules for our two primary production activities, compounding and filling, based on customer demand, facility resources, and inventory availability
• Execute and communicate changes in schedule due to material delays, machine downtime, or changing customer demand
• Act as the primary point of contact with customers to accept orders, provide order updates, and ensure inventory availability for customer supplied components
• Facilitate recurring meetings with customers to share information on upcoming production and alignment of required inventory to support schedules
• Work within our ERP system to enter orders, create and schedule work orders, and update as information and schedules change
• Provide information to the Operations Manager on how many lines will be run daily to support labor planning and company revenue goals
• Develop a strong understanding of production equipment and resources to contribute to production planning process
• Maintain visual scheduling boards in conjunction with Operations team
• Confirm inventory is available for operations to be successful in executing the production plan
• Assist Quality in creating and executing change controls to update internal paperwork to align with customer specifications and changes
