Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner in New Jersey to support manufacturing operations by reviewing customer demand, releasing manufacturing orders, and scheduling production for on-time delivery.

This early-career role offers growth within a dynamic production environment. The ideal candidate has 1+ years in production planning or related fields, familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Infor XA a plus), and strong organizational and Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Scheduling, Materials Planning, Supply Chain, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems; Infor XA experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of production scheduling, work orders, material planning, inventory control, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer demand, new orders, and revise orders through reports and the ERP/MRP system.
  • Release and schedule manufacturing orders based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Manage production schedules and priorities with Production Departments.
  • Monitor the status of orders throughout the production process.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Materials to review material requirements, inventory availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor incoming material deliveries and identify shortages or delays impacting production schedules.
  • Report potential production, material, or scheduling issues to management affecting On-Time Delivery (OTD).
  • Provide Sales with estimated lead times for new orders and updates on existing orders.
  • Coordinate production priorities with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain schedules, work orders, inventory requirements, and planning data.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to support delivery requirements.
  • Analyze schedules, material availability, inventory levels, and manufacturing requirements to identify constraints.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, inventory control, and workflow.
  • Follow directions from Production Planning Supervisor and management, and adhere to EH&S policies.

Production Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner with 1 plus years of experience, Internships, Co-ops, to support manufacturing operations by reviewing customer demand, releasing manufacturing orders, and scheduling production to ensure the on-time delivery of products to customers.

The Production Planner will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales to coordinate customer requirements, material availability, production schedules, and manufacturing priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career manufacturing or supply chain professional looking to grow within a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer demand, new orders, and revise customer orders through reports and the ERP/MRP system.

  • Analyze production schedules, material availability, inventory levels, and manufacturing requirements to identify potential constraints.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives involving production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and manufacturing workflow.
  • Follow instructions and directions from the Production Planning Supervisor or management team.
  • Follow all applicable environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, and injuries.
Qualifications
  • 1 plus years of experience, Internships, Co-ops, in Production Planning, Production Control, Manufacturing Scheduling, Materials Planning, Supply Chain, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems; Infor XA experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of production scheduling, work orders, material planning, inventory control, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Planning, Scheduling, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

$60,000 - $70,000 + bonus, 401(k), PTO, healthcare, and a comprehensive benefits package.
