Job summary

Jabil in Mebane, NC is seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage demand planning and shipments for our injection‑molding site. You will create and maintain a feasible master schedule, ensure execution, and drive reliable delivery to customers.

Requires 2–5 years in supply chain planning with ERP/MRP (SAP or similar), Kinaxis, and lean tools. This onsite role has no relocation or visa sponsorship and offers growth within a global manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain, production planning, and materials in an industrial environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or similar.
• Previous use of Kinaxis is helpful.
• Lean tools including 5 Why, kaizen, six sigma highly desired.
• Ability to problem-solve and pivot priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop a collaborative demand plan with BU and Customer.
• Create Master Schedule through resource and capacity sizing.
• Load Master Schedule into the ERP system.
• Create and maintain a feasible production plan with operations.
• Develop revenue forecast and monitor performance for corrective actions.
• Monitor planning metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Follow procedures within security policy and rules of the road.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Production Planner to support our injection molding manufacturing site in Mebane, NC!

How will you make an impact?

The Production Planner serves as the primary customer interface for demand planning and shipment updates. They develop and maintain a feasible operational plan, ensure its successful execution, and work to achieve high customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Production Planner minimizes Jabil’s liability and continuously improves performance across key planning metrics.

What will you do?

• Work with BU and Customer to develop a collaborative demand plan through properly executing the Demand Management Process
• Create a Master Schedule through resource analysis including material sizing and capacity sizing
• Load Master Schedule into the Jabil ERP system
• Create and maintain a feasible production plan and closely work with the operation team to achieve successful execution of the plan
• Develop revenue forecast and closely monitor actual performance to drive immediate corrective action and recovery plans in case of potential misses to the revenue target
• Monitor planning metrics and drive for continuous improvement
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy and the rules of the road
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

How will you get here?

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, production planning, and materials in an industrial environment
• Thorough experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or similar
• Previous use of rapid response tools such as KINAXIS is helpful
• Use of lean tools including 5 Why, kaizen methods, six sigma principles highly desired
• Must have the ability to problem‑solve and pivot priorities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of ERP/MRP
• Advanced PC skills including MS Excel
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees, strong communication skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets
• Proficient verbal and written English skill
