Job summary

Molex is seeking a Production Planner for our Hudson, WI facility to optimize production scheduling and ensure on-time shipments.

You will coordinate with Production, Process Engineering and Operations, maintain ERP workflows, and ensure materials availability for scheduled jobs.

This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and improving overall manufacturing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Word and Excel.
  • Experience using ERP systems; SAP preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Supply Chain, or Operations OR 2+ years' scheduling, inventory or materials management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and communicate build schedules across programs to optimize on-time delivery.
  • Act as liaison between Production Manager, Process Engineers, and Operations to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • Serve as backup Buyer, handling procurement tasks as needed to support operations continuity.
  • Forecast and monitor weekly resource and production capacity requirements to maximize production efficiency and reduce overtime.
  • Oversee end-to-end production scheduling to ensure on-time shipments.
  • Manage ERP system order entry, prioritization, and adjustments to support accurate production workflows.
  • Ensure availability of all required components, documentation, subassemblies, supplies, and equipment for scheduled jobs, including coordination with other facilities.

Your Job

Molex is seeking a Production Planner to maximize the effectiveness of production manufacturing processes at our Hudson, WI facility. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and communicating build activities across the organization to ensure seamless operations. You will establish and maintain strong, mutually rewarding relationships with both internal teams and external customers by prioritizing and meeting customer expectations. By engaging cross-functional resources and the broader team, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality products on time, supporting our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do


  • Manage and communicate build schedules across multiple programs to optimize on-time delivery (OTD) and meet program timelines.

  • Act as liaison between Production Manager, Process Engineers, and Operations to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel

  • Experience using ERP systems; SAP preferred.

  • Experience with basic inventory, production control techniques, JIT, work cells, and self-managed teams

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Production Management, Supply Chain, or Operations OR Bachelor\'s degree with concentration in scheduling, materials management or customer service OR 2+ years\' related experience in manufacturing facility with scheduling, inventory or materials management experience

  • Ability to independently manage tasks while also functioning effectively in a team setting.
