Job summary

Molex ADS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes for high‑quality electronic assemblies. You will partner across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to implement innovative solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity and cost performance.

Role spans NPI through full‑scale production. You will join a collaborative team focused on supporting electronics assembly operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in an engineering discipline with manufacturing focus.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, process engineering, or continuous improvement initiatives in production.
  • Knowledge of process development, root cause analysis, and optimization methodologies.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Drive manufacturing process improvements to boost quality and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and ensure readiness.
  • Lead continuous improvement to reduce waste and costs.
  • Address production challenges with sustainable solutions.
  • Support new technologies, equipment, and automation deployment.

Your Job

As a Manufacturing Engineer with Molex ADS, you will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes that support the production of high-quality electronic assemblies and related products. You will collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to implement innovative manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. Your work will help drive continuous improvement while supporting products throughout their lifecycle, from new product introduction through full-scale production.

You will join a collaborative Manufacturing Engineering team focused on supporting advanced electronics assembly operations. The team partners closely with Production, Quality, Product Development, and Supply Chain to deliver reliable manufacturing processes and scalable production solutions. Together, we are committed to innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do
  • Drive manufacturing process improvements that enhance product quality, throughput, and overall operational performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to successfully launch new products and ensure manufacturing readiness for production.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiency, and lowering manufacturing costs.
  • Evaluate production challenges and implement sustainable solutions that improve process capability and reliability.
  • Support the development and deployment of new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation solutions.
  • Utilize data-driven problem-solving techniques to identify trends, resolve recurring issues, and strengthen manufacturing performance.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process standards, and engineering controls that support consistent operations.
  • Collaborate with quality and operations teams to drive corrective actions and ensure customer, regulatory, and safety requirements are met.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, process engineering, or continuous improvement initiatives within a production environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process development, root cause analysis, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience within an electronics assembly, PCBA, connector, cable assembly, or electromechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of soldering processes, testing, and inspection methods.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, control plans, and other quality engineering tools.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, or manufacturing data systems.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
