Production Planner – Fort Worth, TX.

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Fort Worth, TX has an immediate opening for an experienced Production Planner. AquaPhoenix is an industry leader in the commercial water treatment industry, providing reagents, testing equipment and hardware, and software helping our customers sustain a cleaner water supply in a global-based environment.

The Production Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products, efficient use of resources, and alignment with customer expectations. Requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments.

With an emphasis on quality and on-time-delivery, key tasks include evaluating purchase orders, confirming and coordinating build of materials (BOM), and creating suitable production schedules to achieve manufacturing and operational excellence. Must be able to collaborate and influence outcomes regularly with employees, management, internal/external customers, and suppliers.

Success will require the utilization of a wide span of technical and manufacturing experience with the knowledge to investigate, analyze and implement “best case” solutions to multiple processes. This is a salaried, exempt position reporting directly to the General Manager and includes excellent benefits, generous vacation, and other incentives.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain master production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory targets.
  • Verify production activities with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and quoting to ensure production accuracy, BOM, and customer outcomes.
  • Coordinate production planning with procurement and logistics to verify flow of material against projected project timelines.
  • Provide updates, identify bottlenecks, and review material or potential labor shortages and/or last-minute change orders. Resolve as necessary.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and systems.
  • Generate reports and KPIs related to production performance and planning accuracy.
  • Generate work orders - taking responsibility to ensure all orders are completed to customer standards throughout the entire production life-cycle.
  • Work with production management to schedule and assign personnel based on production requirements and complexities.
  • Maintain a constant focus dedicated to quality control, on-time delivery, safety, and process validation activities throughout the planning and scheduling process.
  • Participate in production related meetings to advocate and resolve open action items.

Qualifications:

AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Production Planner position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years’ work experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or similar is plus, but not required. Advanced training, certification, or a degree in a related field is welcomed.

Additional skills and experience to include:

  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage X3, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of attention to detail with strong analytical skills to react to data and resolve technical issues efficiently.
