Qualifications

• 3+ years in production scheduling or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for scheduling and order management.
• CPIM and/or CSCP certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-term production schedules aligned with demand and capacity.
• Lead weekly scheduling reviews with Production, Procurement and Customer Service.
• Sequence production orders and optimize flow to minimize downtime.
• Manage supply constraints and changes to maintain on-time delivery.
• Maintain forecast, safety stock and lead times with clear status updates.

Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Production Planner based onsite in Reamstown, PA. The Production Planner will support our automatic door business (ENS) and is responsible for developing and maintaining a short-term production schedule supporting customer demand, supply plans, and manufacturing efficiency. This role works closely with cross-functional partners in Production, Procurement, Customer Service, and Supply Planning to ensure schedule accuracy, constraint resolution, and clear communication throughout the production order lifecycle. Operating on a daily-to-hourly basis, the Production Planner plays a critical role in aligning plant execution with business needs.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $70,000 - $80,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain short-term production schedules aligned with customer demand, supply plans, and operational capacity
• Lead weekly scheduling reviews and coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Customer Service to identify and resolve issues
• Sequence production orders and develop replenishment strategies to optimize production flow, minimize changeovers, and reduce downtime
• Manage supply constraints, demand changes, and material or labor availability while maintaining schedule attainment and on‑time delivery
• Maintain scheduling master data, including forecasts, safety stock, and lead times, while providing clear communication on order status, risks, and constraints

What we require

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems with hands‑on experience in scheduling and order management
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and errors
• Ability to pivot priorities and perform effectively in fast‑paced environments
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, collaborate across functions, and work effectively with multiple diverse teams to achieve shared goals

What we prefer

• CPIM and/or CSCP certification
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems; AS400 experience
• Strong ability to analyze planning data, manage priorities, and support effective production and customer service outcomes
