Job summary

Crissair, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to schedule and release production orders in our ERP system to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery. The role emphasizes maintaining master data integrity and collaborating across functions to optimize production operations.

The planner will manage BOMs, routing data, and work center schedules, leveraging Dynamics 365 and Access for approvals and tracking. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, memos and safety procedures.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Item Masters, BOMs, and Routers/Travelers in Dynamics 365 ERP.
  • Use Access to manage change requests with approvals.
  • Review planned orders and convert to production orders based on capacity and demand.
  • Generate and communicate work center schedules; update as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust production timelines to meet delivery goals.
  • Maintain master data parameters (lead times, lot sizes, scrap rates, safety stocks).
  • Create/manage production order splits to optimize workflow.
  • Oversee product purge process and mitigate risks.
  • Prioritize orders at work centers to sustain production flow.
  • Identify and mitigate schedule risks; investigate shortages/delays.
  • Escalate and resolve in-process rejections to protect deliveries.
  • Document SOPs and work instructions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for the daily scheduling and release of production orders within the ERP system to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of products. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of master data and supporting efficient production operations through effective planning and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Item Masters, Bills of Material (BOMs), and Routers/Travelers within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system.
  • Leverage existing Microsoft Access database to manage and track requested changes, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained and documented.
  • Review and convert planned orders into production orders based on capacity constraints, material availability and customer demand.
  • Generate, maintain, and communicate work center schedules, including updates and revisions as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust production order timelines to align with operational goals and delivery commitments.
  • Develop and maintain master data parameters, including lot sizes, lead times, scrap rates, and safety stocks.
  • Create and manage production order splits to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the product purge process, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and quarantined appropriately.
  • Prioritize orders at work centers to support production flow and minimize delays.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the production schedule and overall plan.
  • Assist in investigating root causes of material shortages and production delays; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Expedite resolution of in-process rejections to reduce impact on customer deliveries.
  • Document standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Qualification Requirements
  • Education/Experience
    • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
    • One to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Language Skills
    • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write in simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Math Skills
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.

Compensation and Benefits Offered

Actual base salary offered to the selected applicant will be based on their work location, qualifications, job related skills, relevant education, and training experience.

Base hourly rate range Minimum $23.00- Maximum $27.00
