Position Summary: We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Production Planner to join our growing electronics team. In this multi-faceted role, you will plan and coordinate production schedules, purchase electronic components, manage in-house inventory, maintain product data in Arena PLM, and support our engineering team with new product launches and changes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, small-company environment.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain production plans and schedules to meet customer orders and project deadlines.

● Work closely with suppliers to source and purchase electronic components and materials, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.

● Monitor and manage inventory levels for PCBAs, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to support production needs and minimize excess stock.

● Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs), part numbers, and product documents in Arena PLM.

● Create and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in Arena to support product revisions, updates, and design improvements.

● Ensure cross-functional teams have access to the latest released product data and documentation.

● Provide PLM support to engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure data integrity and proper workflows are followed.

● Coordinate with the engineering team to support prototypes, design changes, and new product introductions.

● Communicate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and vendors to resolve supply or quality issues.

● Perform routine cycle counts and help implement inventory control improvements.

● Track and report production, inventory, and purchasing metrics to management.

● Assist with process documentation and workflow improvements across planning, procurement, and engineering support.

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

● 3–5 years of experience in production planning, purchasing, or inventory control in a small electronics manufacturing environment.

● Proven experience managing product data in Arena PLM, including BOM creation, part management, ECOs, and user workflows.

● Familiarity with sourcing electronic components and working with electronic component distributors.

● Hands-on experience with ERP or MRP systems.

● Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

● Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and suppliers.

● Ability to adapt to changing priorities and wear multiple hats in a small, dynamic company.

Nice to Have:

● Experience using Arena PLM Quality Module for managing CAPAs, Deviations, or Non-Conformances.

● Experience working with PCB assembly (PCBA) suppliers or contract manufacturers.

● Understanding of basic electronics or electronics manufacturing processes.

● APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or similar is a plus.
