Job summary

Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd. in Broomfield, CO, invites experienced pilots to join the Flights Operations team as Production Pilot. You will conduct PC-12 and PC-24 production check flights, perform mission flights, and support engineering, customer service, and sales with flight expertise.

The role requires extensive turbine/jet flight time, type ratings, and international travel. A strong leadership mindset and the ability to work with limited supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single and Multi-Engine Land ratings.
• CFII and MEI certifications; no centerline thrust restriction preferred.
• Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time and 2,500 hours PIC.
• Minimum 2,000 hours combined turbine/jet flight time, incl. 1,000 hours jet PIC.
• Jet type rating or military equivalent.
• Military or airline flight experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience in international flight operations preferred.
• Experience in formation flying preferred.
• FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Current and valid passport.
• Ability to travel internationally without restrictions on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.

• Conduct domestic and international production, demonstration, marketing, ferry, customer support, AOG response, and transportation flights.

• Collect, document, and communicate operational flight data for safety and product improvement.
• Ensure flight operations comply with policies, SMS, FAA regulations, and applicable rules.
• Maintain flight logs, expenses, maintenance documentation, and records.

The Production Pilot conducts PC-12 and PC-24 production check flights and other assigned flights safely and in accordance with Pilatus standards, company policies, and applicable aviation regulations. The Production Pilot is a subject matter expert on the PC-12 and PC-24 and supports production, engineering, customer support, sales, and other operational requirements through flight and technical expertise.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times
• Serve as single-pilot Pilot in Command (PIC) for PC-12 and PC-24 production check flights
• Perform government and special mission experimental flight tests and demonstrations
• Conduct domestic and international production, demonstration, marketing, ferry, customer support, AOG response, and transportation flights
• Serve as a subject matter expert on PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft, including capabilities, systems, and operations
• Coordinate with Pilatus engineering on flight test plans, technical issues, and product improvement
• Conduct pre-flight planning, including route selection, fuel requirements, weather analysis, and performance calculations
• Conduct pre- and post-flight briefings and ensure crew qualifications meet assigned flight requirements
• Coordinate flight activities with dispatch, maintenance, ground support teams, and other appropriate Pilatus departments
• Collect, document, and communicate operational flight data to support safety, product development and continuous improvement
• Ensure flight operations comply with company policies, Safety Management System (SMS) requirements, FAA regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate flight logs, operating expenses, maintenance documentation, and other required records in accordance with company and FAA and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Conduct knowledgeable and professional discussions with prospects and customers
• Attend industry trade shows and company meetings as required

Other Duties/Responsibilities

• Support special projects and other Flight Operations activities as assigned
• Coordinate and communicate with Pilatus dealers regarding aircraft capabilities, operational concerns and product improvement
• Arrange required accommodations associated with assigned travel

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single and Multi-Engine Land ratings
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) and FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certification, no centerline thrust restriction preferred
• Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time and[VS1] [GL2] 2,500 hours PIC (or equivalent military flight experience)
• Minimum 2,000 hours combined turbine/jet flight time, including 1,000 hours jet PIC (or equivalent military flight experience)
• Jet type rating or military equivalent
• Military or airline flight experience preferred
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently without direct supervision

• Strong computer skills including MS Office
• Domiciled within 1 hour of Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC)

The hiring range is $150,000 - $210,000 per year. This range represents Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd.’s estimate of the compensation reasonably expected for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant skills and experience, education, job location, internal equity, market data, and business considerations. The hiring range may be modified in the future based on business or market conditions. Any bonus, incentive compensation, benefits, or other forms of compensation are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans, programs, and policies and may be modified in accordance with applicable law.
