Join Our Team as a Production Packer/Packager - Day Shift at Nazdar Company

We are seeking a dedicated Packager to join our Manufacturing team in Shawnee, KS. This role involves packaging materials according to manufacturing orders, verifying correct packaging materials and labels, and ensuring all identifying information (such as item number, lot number, description, and expiration date) is accurate. The Packager will also place manufactured materials into appropriate containers and affix labels indicating size, color, grade, or process code.

Responsibilities
  1. Review Manufacturing Orders (MO) for packaging instructions and approvals.
  2. Package materials as specified by MO.
  3. Accurately record job data as required.
  4. Use a handheld scanner to scan materials and start/stop operations.
  5. Move inventory using a handheld scanner.
  6. Fill and seal containers to specified levels by sight, weight, or other criteria.
  7. Pack containers into boxes for shipping or storage, printing labels with product codes, lot numbers, and descriptions.
  8. Store packaged goods in designated areas.
  9. Maintain a clean and secure work environment at the end of each shift.
  10. Follow safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
  11. Assist with additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in manufacturing or production is required.
  • Ability to operate iPads and scanners for data entry.
  • Safety-conscious mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new systems.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds.
