Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator for their Williamsport, MD facility. The role supports packaging finished products and assists extrusion operations in a fast-paced vinyl siding environment.

Shifts include day 6:00 AM–6:00 PM and night 6:00 PM–6:00 AM (2–2–3). Probation lasts 90 days with training on day shift; night shift offers a $1.00/hour differential after training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Technical School / Trade School preferred.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Experience with hand tools and measuring devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks and use PPE.
• Ensure environmental and housekeeping standards; dispose waste properly.
• Package products to specification under supervision.
• Support line operations by monitoring quality and managing materials.
• Identify and report defects per ISO 9001 and SPC under supervision.
