Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Production Operator for the small paint plant (SPP). You will fill batches using automated equipment, operate forklifts, and ensure labels and documented procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Follow and adhere to SOPs, batch tickets, process sheets, and safety policies.
• Operate filling equipment including automated pail filling systems, scales/load cells, mixers and pumps.
• Label containers accurately with customer IDs and labels.
• Safely operate a forklift and move materials.
• Participate in improvement teams and propose ideas.
• Use SAP and Microsoft Access/Microsoft Office to complete orders in the LPP process.

Responsibilities

• Follow and adhere to SOPs, batch tickets, process sheets, and safety policies.
• Operate equipment to fill batches: automated pail filling, scales/load cells, mixers, pumps.
• Fill finished goods into containers and prepare accurate labels.
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials.
• Participate in improvement teams and contribute ideas.
• Identify off-quality products and initiate corrective actions per procedures.
• Use SAP, Access DB and MS Office to complete orders in the LPP process.
• Maintain housekeeping in production areas.
• Maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform activities in other Operations areas as required.
• Transport waste to 90-day storage area and label waste containers.
