Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Production Operator to work in a high‑production environment. You will read shop orders, set up and operate manufacturing equipment, and monitor product quality while maintaining safety standards.

Training will enable you to handle microscopy tasks and fine assembly work as needed. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and in a team, and willingness to train across departments.

Role

Working within a high-production industrial environment, the Production Operator is responsible for meeting departmental production, quality, and safety standards. Upon training within the department, the Production Operator will be responsible for independently reading and verifying the shop order and then setting up and completing the manufacturing process, which may include printing equipment, automated equipment, small hand tools, viewing product through a microscope, and fine assembly work.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read and accurately understand the shop traveler (job order, instructions, and customer specifications)
  • Set up and operate different types of machinery according to the department processes and each job’s requirements
  • Consistently evaluate product for quality, verifying departmental procedures are completed accurately
  • Record defects, document quality data, and work within the quality management system.
  • Immediately escalate issues to the production technician, management, or engineering
  • Read, record, and report required product data accurately on both the shop order and within computer applications
  • Acquire production materials, set up the production area, and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Follow all safety training and procedures as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical handling, and hazardous waste
  • Responsible for immediately reporting all accidents, near misses, and safety concerns
  • Cross train on operations and equipment within the area
Essential Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend English written instructions, including manufacturing work orders, customer specifications, and shop control documents
  • Quality centered mindset with strong attention-to-detail, mathematical, and technical aptitude
  • Able to be a positive team member while also working independently
  • Manual dexterity (hand/finger/eye coordination) is essential to the Production Operators job; ability to work with very small components
  • General computer skills and ability to update electronic records, enter data into systems, and send emails
  • Able to sit or stand throughout a shift and independently push, pull, or lift 10-50 pounds
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
  • Consistently meet attendance requirements. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as necessary
  • Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment that includes machinery, moving parts, and noise
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train in other departments, learning to operate other machinery

  • Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.
  • Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
  • As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado.
  • For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
