In Manitowoc, we support automotive customers with flexible sound barrier and non-carpet flooring sheets. Our sound barrier product is also used in building, construction, and energy markets for sound control applications. Manitowoc also produces black color concentrate pellets used in our customers' processes to color their end products.

Job Summary

This advanced-level position involves performing material handling using forklifts, weighing, and packaging duties within the production department. The role ensures high-quality products at low costs, meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements. The position includes progression through our operator training program, covering extrusion production line, automated material handling, and Banbury mixer operation.

Essential Job Duties

• Perform duties safely, maintaining a safe workplace
• Assist with unloading winder and during changeovers
• Inspect finished rolls for quality, vacuum dust, and non-conformities
• Read and understand shop orders
• Communicate with operators and shift leads
• Clean equipment and plant areas
• Stage rolls and packaging items for production
• Maintain accurate inventory in MIS
• Package and move materials to designated warehouse areas
• Record downtime and reasons
• Operate forklifts and perform maintenance as needed
• Work full schedule, including overtime as required
• Perform quality testing and cross-check paperwork
• Cut cores and cardboard as specified
• Receive additional instructions from operators
• Develop competency in plant operations

Additional Responsibilities

• Train other employees if required
• Participate in Kaizen and lean events
• Perform other duties as needed to support the business

Requirements

Education
