Quali Tech, LLC is seeking a Production Operator 1 in Kankakee, IL to run sifters and peripheral equipment, perform regular checks, and uphold food safety and quality standards. The role involves basic maintenance, data logging, and coordination with the Quality Control Lab to adjust products based on results.

Candidates should be comfortable in a hot production environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), strong safety awareness, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Safety-conscious mindset.

• Basic understanding of technology in assigned area.

• Able to work in hot environments.
• Able to ascend/descend stairs multiple times daily.
• Knowledge of quality, food safety and safe work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate sifters, airlocks, rollers and peripheral equipment to meet production run rates and specs.
• Perform hourly equipment and flow rate checks.
• Follow food safety and quality programs; assist in investigations of non-conformances.
• Keep area clean and organized; store equipment properly.
• Log magnet checks and report unusual findings to Supervisor.
• Complete daily paperwork and communicate equipment issues to production staff.
• Provide product samples and adjust quality based on QC lab results.
• Ensure proper contamination control and sanitation after shifts.
