This position reports to: Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

1. Adhere to all safety requirements and company policies. Prepare copper bus and steel components for powder coating and electroplating processes.
2. Operate automatic and manual coating equipment.
3. Read blueprints or similar documentation and produce accordingly.
4. Use various hand tools to accomplish tasks.
5. Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
6. Maintain equipment and conveyors; perform basic repairs when needed.
7. Inventory tools, parts, and supplies.
8. Periodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve issues and alert supervisor.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working in a fabrication department.
• Knowledge and use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools.
• Knowledge of 5S principles—sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain.
• Knowledge and use of necessary PPE.
• Ability to use crane or other lifting devices as needed.
• Must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
