This position reports to

Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

Adhere to all safety requirements and company policies. Prepare copper bus and steel components for powder coating process and electroplating processes. Operate automatic and manual coating equipment. Read blueprints or similar documentation, then produce to those specifications. Use various hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks. Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies. Maintain equipment and conveyors and perform basic repairs when needed. Inventory tools, parts, and supplies. Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience working in a fabrication department
• Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools.
• Knowledge of 5S – sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain
• Knowledge and use of necessary PPE
• Ability to use crane or other lifting devices, as needed
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
