Job summary

Varex Imaging in Salt Lake City seeks an assembler to perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly on product components and sub-assemblies. You will follow documented procedures, set up tooling, perform hand soldering, inspect parts with precision instruments, maintain a clean, safe work area, and support material flow and factory teams.

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions in the prevailing language spoken in the facility.
• Work with a trainer under close leadership.
• Familiar with business tools such as SAP or equivalent ERP and productivity software.

Responsibilities

• Assembles/processes product, parts and assemblies using hand tools, customized tooling, and/or semi-automated equipment.
• Follows written process/assembly documentation.
• Inspects and tests parts, assemblies and product using precision measuring and testing equipment.
• Adjusts process within defined ranges based on measured results.
• Adheres to all safety requirements.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Assists in maintaining efficient material flow through the work area.
• Participates in appropriate training to gain a basic understanding of several business systems/concepts.
