Job summary

Embecta in Holdrege, NE is hiring a Production Operator for our 12‑hour night shift at the 24/7 facility that produces insulin syringes. You will work on molding, assembling, packaging or warehouse processes, perform in‑process quality checks, and document activities to meet rigorous regulatory requirements.

Participants should have a High School Diploma or GED and be comfortable using basic computer software. A focus on safety and teamwork is essential to succeed in this role at Embecta.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year or more experience with or repair of manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail for quality checks and documentation.
  • Comfortable using computers and basic software (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

  • Gown up with PPE and safety shoes.
  • Set up and operate molding, assembly, packaging, or warehouse equipment as assigned.
  • Perform in‑process inspections and ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete accurate paperwork to document quality checks and traceability.
  • Move raw materials and finished goods as needed and assist with problem solving.
  • Collaborate with team to maintain safe, efficient production and address issues promptly.

Here’s what your typical day might look like:Gown up with the required PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety shoes.Start your shift by checking in with your team and reviewing the day’s goals.Depending on whether you work in Molding, Assembly, Packaging or Warehouse, you will set up and operate the relevant machines and equipment that mold, assemble and package our insulin syringes.Regularly throughout your shift, you will inspect the products and perform in-process checks to ensure products meet our high quality standards and regulatory requirements.Completing inspection and quality documentation is the norm in a highly regulated medical devices facility and will be a critical part of your roleAt times, you will move raw material supplies and finished products to the necessary locations in the facility.You will continually monitor the equipment for output and issues and help problem-solve efficiently and quickly should something go wrong.You will work as part of a highly engaged team to keep everything running smoothly and safely, with safety being your highest priority.Paperwork MattersIn this role, accurate paperwork is essential.
