Job summary

embecta is seeking a Production Operator for our Holdrege, Nebraska facility. You will help operate molding, assembly, packaging, or warehouse equipment to manufacture insulin delivery syringes, with a focus on safety and quality. Expect detailed documentation, shift work, and on-the-job training.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of manufacturing equipment experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success on a 12-hour night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate molding, assembly, packaging or warehouse equipment.
  • Regularly inspect products and perform in-process checks to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Complete paperwork accurately to prove safety and traceability of products.
  • Move raw materials and finished goods to required locations within the facility.
  • Collaborate with team to maintain safe, efficient production lines.

Apply now and power the future of diabetes care with embecta.What Does a Production Operator Do?As a Production Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing process. Here’s what your typical day might look like:Gown up with the required PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety shoes.Start your shift by checking in with your team and reviewing the day’s goals.Depending on whether you work in Molding, Assembly, Packaging or Warehouse, you will set up and operate the relevant machines and equipment that mold, assemble and package our insulin syringes.Regularly throughout your shift, you will inspect the products and perform in-process checks to ensure products meet our high quality standards and regulatory requirements.Completing inspection and quality documentation is the norm in a highly regulated medical devices facility and will be a critical part of your roleAt times, you will move raw material supplies and finished products to the necessary locations in the facility.You will continually monitor the equipment for output and issues and help problem-solve efficiently and quickly should something go wrong.You will work as part of a highly engaged team to keep everything running smoothly and safely, with safety being your highest priority.Paperwork MattersIn this role, accurate paperwork is essential. It helps us prove our products are safe, meet our regulatory requirements and ensures we can trace and fix any issues quickly.
