Job summary

Sun Chemical in the United States seeks a production operator to operate equipment across manufacturing areas and to follow batch tickets. The role requires safety discipline, ability to weigh ingredients, and performing SAP look-ups, labeling, and packaging. You’ll join a team focused on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer efficiency required.
• Candidates must have demonstrated experience with and knowledge of safety.
• Candidates must possess sound verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review batch tickets; read, understand, and follow.
• Provide samples to lab.
• Pack product into designated containers.
• Report near miss incidents and improvement opportunities.
• Equipment cleaning, tub washing, plant cleaning and waste disposal.
• Forklift operation.
• Labeling containers.
• SAP inventory look-up.
• Gather and weigh ingredients.
• Operate dust collector equipment.
• Participate on plant teams.
• Stock rotation / Minimization of partial containers.
• Ingredient traceability.
• Operate and trouble shoot mixing equipment.
• Combine ingredients in designated sequence.
• Training others.
• SAP CORK duties.
• Preliminary quality checks.
