Job Description:
Job Title: Production Operator
This is only a temporary assignment ending May 30th.
Regular Schedule will be: Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm.

Training period schedule will be Monday through Thursday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM; then around the 2nd week of February, the shift will move to Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-5:30 PM.

MUST HAVE 6 MONTHS PLUS FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE; DOES NOT NEED TO BE CERTIFIED. PLEASE REFER TO ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION.

Must complete background check and drug test.

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the manufacturing and shipping of animal feed. Operate all mixing and batching equipment to mix ingredients according to the company's feed formulations. This includes the operation of ingredient augers, mixing scale, mixer, liquid pumps, forklift, and distribution equipment. Good housekeeping must be maintained at all times. Work in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company rules and regulations.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Run multiple pieces of equipment, i.e., batching mixers, packaging line, micro hand add weighing; receive ingredients by truck and rail.
2. Manufacture products to ensure they meet specifications and HACCP requirements.
3. Be knowledgeable and follow FDA rules.
4. Run REPETE batching equipment, packaging, and storage of finished product.
5. Required training for Food Safety and Safety; maintain daily housekeeping.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions/Requirements:

1. Some standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling, and working in small spaces.
2. Lifting is required. Not to exceed 80lbs.
3. Driving will be required to complete certain tasks. Safe operation of a forklift is required.

Required Qualifications:

1. High School Education or Equivalent.
2. Fork Lift Experience.
3. Basic Computer Skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. At least six months feed production experience preferred.
2. Background in mechanics and maintenance helpful.
