Job summary

Clayton, a leading single-family home builder in Morristown, TN, is seeking a full-time production teammate for our sawmill team. This role focuses on stacking, wrapping, and handling 2x4 lumber while following safety policies.

You will read and interpret job orders, coordinate with forklift and saw operators, and support production management in a team-driven environment. The work is indoors with noise and dust, and you must be able to stand for extended periods.

• Reading job orders and basic math for quantities.
• Ability to read and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Experience working in a production environment is a plus.

SSENTIAL DUTIES AND DAILY TASKS

• Part of sawmill team stacking, wrapping, and banding 2x4 lumber.
• Pulling tarps off raw material for daily use
• Assisting team in stacking lumber products
• Understands and observes all safety policies and procedures.
• Interprets job orders assigned.
• Coordinates with forklift operators, saw operators, and production management.
• Performs other duties as required by management.

Minimum Requirements

• 90% of work to be performed in an indoor environment subject to noise and dust.
• Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematics.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
