Our polymer manufacturing plant in Birdsboro, PA is looking for a Production Operator to support plant operations. Arkema in Birdsboro has around 65 employees but is part of a larger organization with over 21,000 employees worldwide. We call this the "small company feel with large company resources." Major highlights regarding employment as a Production Operator:

Wage: $30.26/hr to start, plus $.90 for 2nd shift and $1.15 for 3rd shift.

Shift: 8 hours each shift, rotating weekly between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Schedule: 5-7 days in a row with days off in between rotations.

Overtime: Average of 4-8 hours weekly, paid for over 8 hours worked in a day and over 40 hours weekly.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Operate packaging equipment and maintain daily process efficiencies.
• Transfer finished materials between warehouses.
• Assist in emptying finished products from industrial dryers.
• Comply with all technical, quality control, manufacturing, and safety procedures related to Packaging.
• Operate powered industrial trucks.
• Have physical dexterity for climbing stairs, ladders, and heavy lifting.
• Basic computer skills.
• Perform other operator assistance tasks and general duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math skills demonstrated.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment testing including drug, alcohol, and physical assessments.
• Experience in manufacturing or chemical plant production preferred; similar skills will be considered.
• Forklift (tow motor) experience preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
