Job summary

AMPI is hiring a Production Operative Worker for our Sanborn, IA facility. This full-time, on-site role involves operating and monitoring packaging and processing equipment, maintaining records, and upholding food safety and quality standards.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and a willingness to follow GMP policies. Training will cover equipment operation, safety procedures, and new-hire onboarding. Competitive benefits are available.

Responsibilities

• All AMPI employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority.
• This position has a heightened food safety and food quality responsibilities.
• Start up, shut down, Clean in Place (CIP) and troubleshoot equipment; ensure starts and stops on time.
• Operation and monitoring of all related equipment.
• Maintain records and documentation per policy and state guidelines.
• Document and communicate production deficiencies to leads and management.
• Monitor and sample UF, RO & Polisher systems, documenting results.
• Report and communicate critical information during shift change overs.
• Test equipment and use results to adjust equipment to improve product quality.
• Follow operating and cleaning procedures; clean lab and testing equipment after use.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas; cleaning of equipment and supplies.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and sanitation tasks.
• Seek process improvements and communicate them to others.
• When licensed, operate forklift to move inventory.
• Assist with training new employees.
• Provide maintenance support for machine repairs or troubleshooting.
• Adhere to Quality, Food Safety, Safety and GMP policies; report nonconformities.
• Other duties as assigned.
