Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure in Pearl, MS is seeking a Warehouse Operator to support logistics, inventory control, and equipment operation. The role involves loading/unloading, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with process improvements across the Pearl facilities.

The position requires teamwork with leads and other departments, and offers opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Logistics & Handling: Load, unload, and move materials between loading docks, storage areas, and production lines.
  • Inventory Control: Perform inventory counts, scan barcodes, and update records in ERP systems.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Documentation: Complete documents related to tasks and record weights and inventory changes.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Back‑up operation: Run Operator I/II machinery when needed (Take Up, Spoolers, Braiders, Calbers, Twisters).
  • Remove finished cable from take-ups and cross-overs to obtain weights from 100 to 3800 lbs.
  • Maintain 5S standards and keep tools and materials in designated locations.
  • Contribute to team process improvements and work with leads, supervisors, managers, and Pearl employees.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

  • Logistics & Handling: Load, unload, and move materials, raw goods, or finished products between loading docks, storage areas, and production lines. Physically receive materials following the standard operating procedures. Weigh materials before and after use
  • Inventory Control: Perform inventory counts, scan barcodes, and update inventory records in software systems (ERP) to ensure accuracy.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Documentation: Complete appropriate documents related the associated tasks, record changes to the raw material and compound weights and inventory.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Serves as back‑up and has the versatility to run most Operator I and Operator II machinery such as Take Up, Spoolers, Braiders, Calbers and Twisters proficiently on an as needed basis.
  • Remove finished cable from take-ups and cross-overs to include startup scrap in obtaining center, spool or reel weights from 100 to 3800 lbs.
  • Maintain & Improve on 5S standards (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) your area. Maintain tools, equipment, material in designated location homes.
  • Constantly provide organic improvement to your process, regularly participate in and contribute to your team’s process improvement.
  • Work as a team with other leads, supervisors, managers and Pearl employees.
  • Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.
