Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure in Pearl, MS is hiring a Warehouse Operator to transport, store, and organize materials for production and logistics. You will load/unload shipments, track inventory in ERP, and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, while maintaining safety standards.

As part of Marmon Holdings, this role requires teamwork with leads, supervisors, and Pearl employees, adherence to 5S, and continual process improvements, with the ability to lift heavy items

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse logistics and inventory control.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with ERP inventory modules and data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials between docks, storage areas, and production lines.
  • Track and update inventory records in ERP systems.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required.
  • Complete documentation related to materials and inventory changes.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas following 5S principles.
  • Support process improvements and collaborate with leads and supervisors.

Responsible for transporting, storing, and organizing materials, products, and equipment to ensure smooth production and logistics, typically utilizing machinery like forklifts. Key duties include loading/unloading shipments, tracking inventory in systems, preparing items for shipping, and maintaining safety standards, with a physical requirement to lift heavy items.

  • Logistics & Handling: Load, unload, and move materials, raw goods, or finished products between loading docks, storage areas, and production lines. Physically receive materials following the standard operating procedures. Weigh materials before and after use

  • Inventory Control: Perform inventory counts, scan barcodes, and update inventory records in software systems (ERP) to ensure accuracy.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

  • Documentation: Complete appropriate documents related the associated tasks, record changes to the raw material and compound weights and inventory.

  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

  • Serves as back‑up and has the versatility to run most Operator I and Operator II machinery such as Take Up, Spoolers, Braiders, Calbers and Twisters proficiently on an as needed basis.
  • Remove finished cable from take‑ups and cross‑overs to include startup scrap in obtaining center, spool or reel weights from 100 to 3800 lbs.
  • Maintain & Improve on 5S standards (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) your area. Maintain tools, equipment, material in designated location homes.
  • Constantly provide organic improvement to your process, regularly participate in and contribute to your team’s process improvement.
  • Work as a team with other leads, supervisors, managers and Pearl employees.
  • Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.
