Marmon Rail is seeking a warehouse/logistics technician who will load, unload, and move materials between docks and production lines. You will track inventory in ERP, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and document changes to weights and inventory while maintaining 5S standards and safety compliance.
You will work as part of a team, ensuring accurate deliveries and efficient warehouse operations in Pearl, MS.

Responsible for transporting, storing, and organizing materials, products, and equipment to ensure smooth production and logistics, typically utilizing machinery like forklifts.
Key duties include loading/unloading shipments, tracking inventory in systems, preparing items for shipping, and maintaining safety standards, with a physical requirement to lift heavy items.
Load, unload, and move materials, raw goods, or finished products between loading docks, storage areas, and production lines. Physically receive materials following the standard operating procedures. Weigh materials before and after use.
Perform inventory counts, scan barcodes, and update inventory records in software systems (ERP) to ensure accuracy.
Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Complete appropriate documents related the associated tasks, record changes to the raw material and compound weights and inventory.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Serves as back-up and has the versatility to run most Operator I and Operator II machinery such as Take Up, Spoolers, Braiders, Calbers and Twisters proficiently on an as needed basis. Remove finished cable from take-ups and cross-overs to include startup scrap in obtaining center, spool or reel weights from 100 to 3800 lbs.
Maintain & Improve on 5S standards (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) your area. Maintain tools, equipment, material in designated location homes. Constantly provide organic improvement to your process, regularly participate in and contribute to your team’s process improvement.
Work as a team with other leads, supervisors, managers and Pearl employees. Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.
