Job summary

CoorsTek, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator III to operate multiple complex production lines and ensure parts meet quality specifications.

You will load/unload, inspect parts, transfer to next process via software, and train incoming operators while adhering to safety and GMP standards.

Strong math and measurement skills with experience using micrometers, calipers, and CMMs are required to ensure precise tolerances and process consistency.

Qualifications

  • Must read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
  • Solid math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) for in-process checks.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in part inspection.
  • Able to train new operators and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operate multiple production equipment to manufacture parts per work orders.
  • Inspect parts to ensure quality and customer specifications; take corrective actions.
  • Transfer parts to next process using computer software.
  • Load, unload, and stack product; transport with forklifts or hoists.
  • Clean work area, machines and tools; maintain housekeeping.
  • Train incoming operators on processes and procedures.
  • Wear required PPE at all times where mandated.

Job Title

Production Operator III

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Operate multiple, complex production equipment and/or a variety of production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; makes machine adjustments and contacts appropriate person when needed
  • Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality/ customer specifications; takes appropriate action concerning parts that are not to customer/quality standards and recommends solutions to appropriate person
  • Transfer parts to next process via computer software
  • Load, unload and stack product; transports product via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist
  • Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
  • Train incoming operators on processes and procedures
  • Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory
Shift
  • Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary
Experience
  • A minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions
  • Read/interpret standard and metric measurements
  • Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment such as SmartScope or CMM
  • Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts
  • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
Target Hiring Range

Hourly: USD 21.60 - USD 26.37
