CoorsTek, Inc. in Oak Ridge, NC, is seeking a Production Operator III to support the production of technical ceramics and metals across multiple shifts.

You will operate complex production equipment, adjust machines as needed, and verify parts meet quality standards while following work orders under safety guidelines. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple, complex production equipment to manufacture parts per work orders.
• Make machine adjustments and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
• Inspect parts for quality and customer specifications and take corrective action.
• Transfer parts using computer software to the next process.
• Load/unload/stack products and transport with hand-trucks/forks/cranes.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and equipment.
• Provide training to incoming operators on processes.
• Wear required PPE in mandatory areas.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate multiple, complex production equipment and/or a variety of production tools to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions.
• Make necessary machine adjustments and promptly contact the appropriate personnel when needed.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications, taking appropriate action for parts that do not meet standards and recommending solutions.
• Utilize computer software to transfer parts to the next process.
• Load, unload, and stack products; transport products using hand‑trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including machines, tools, and equipment.
• Provide training to incoming operators on processes and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in mandatory areas.

Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.

Experience

• A minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
• Proficient in reading/interpreting standard and metric measurements.
• Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment like SmartScope or CMM.
• Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team from various cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range

19.50 - 21.00

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
