Job summary

PTA Plastics is seeking a Production Operator I to support daily production tasks under the supervision of the Shift Leader. The role involves packaging, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and data tracking to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, solid communication and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior manufacturing experience and the ability to work both in a team and independently are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Capable of working in a team and independently.
• Capable of following a production report while working independently.

Responsibilities

• Packaging 10 - 50 lb. bags of bulk product via saddle to pallet as well as filling 3000 lb. super sacks
• Cleaning of the warehouse and equipment as required
• Daily maintenance of equipment
• Calls specialists when more serious problems occur
• Tracks various data associated with production equipment
• Reports any inconsistencies and uses standard repair procedures
• Work in compliance with company safety and operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned
