Job summary

PTA Plastics is seeking a Production Operator I to support daily manufacturing operations at our Michigan facility. The role reports to the Shift Leader and involves executing a variety of production tasks to keep lines running smoothly and safely.

You will package products, maintain equipment, and monitor production data while working in a team-oriented environment and following company procedures. This entry-level position emphasizes reliability, safety, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Capable of following production reports both in team and independent settings.

Responsibilities

• Package 10 - 50 lb bags via saddle to pallet and fill 3000 lb super sacks.
• Clean the warehouse and equipment as required.
• Daily maintenance of equipment.
• Call specialists when more serious problems occur.
• Track data associated with production equipment.
• Report inconsistencies and follow standard repair procedures.
• Work in compliance with safety and operating procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
