Job summary

Solid Power is seeking a 1st Shift Production Operator to join our team in Louisville, KY. You will work with operators, technicians, and engineers to set up, run, and manage equipment used in electrode fabrication and battery cell assembly.

The role requires 3+ years in a manufacturing or lab setting, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. Training on hazardous materials and PPE usage is provided; 5S and continuous improvement are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a lab or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials and dry/wet processes is a plus.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated and semi-automated equipment.
  • Follow SOPs and work instructions precisely.
  • Maintain 5S and safe work practices on the production floor.
  • Complete and verify production documentation accurately.

Position Overview

Solid Power is seeking a 1st Shift Production Operator to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment.This position will work closely with production operators, technicians, and engineers to help set up,operate, and manage equipment used in electrode fabrication and battery cell assembly operations.

Job Duties
  • Operate automated and semi-automated machinery.
  • Follow detailed instructions, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Setup,operate, andmaintainspecialized production equipment includingcalenders, stamping dies, ultrasonic welders, and otherindustry specificautomated equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and work safely with hazardous materials.Maintain workspace cleanliness in highly trafficked workspaces. Followappropriate 5Spractices.
  • Utilize a methodical approach to problem solving, both independently and as a team, to recognize and implement solutions during production runs and through the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure product quality specifications are appropriately evaluated andmaintainedthroughout production.
  • Complete and verify production documentation is filled out completely and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following5Sstandards.
  • Participate in 5S activities, audits, and continuous improvement efforts tomaintainworkplace organization and efficiency.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a lab or manufacturing environment. (Dry-room/Clean-room experience is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience working with hazardous materials, dry powder processes, and wet chemical/slurry and solvent-based operations.
  • Rapid learner with attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Preference for experienceoperatingand maintaining semi-automated machinery.
  • Experience using PLC controlledroboticsa plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft software (Excel, Teams, Outlook etc.) is preferred.
  • Availability to work 1st shift 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday – Friday
Physical Requirements
  • Most working hours will be spent on the production floor.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs daily.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to safety shoes, eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.
Hourly Range

$24.00-$30.00/hour
