Job summary

Team 1 Plastics, a Michigan-based plastics manufacturer, is seeking a Production Assistant to help keep the manufacturing floor running smoothly. The role involves packaging, labeling, and supporting the press team in a fast-paced environment.

You will weigh parts, inspect for defects, and ensure proper packaging and transport to zones, contributing to on-time production and quality outputs at our Albion facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Package and label parts in accordance with manufacturing standards.
• Weigh parts to ensure proper part count.
• Inspect parts for obvious signs of defect.
• Navigate and utilize PROMON system on the floor.
• Prepare packaging for the floor and transport to zones.
• Load packaged parts onto skids in appropriate areas.
• Add material labels to scrap gaylords.
• Maintain a clean work environment including sweeping and disposal tasks.

About the role

The Production Assistant plays a key part in keeping our manufacturing floor running smoothly. You’ll package and inspect parts to meet customer standards, prepare materials, keep work areas organized, and support the press team with tasks like staging packaging, labeling boxes, swapping out bins, and moving scrap. If you enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and being an essential part of a fast-moving production team, this role is a great fit.

• Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, mopping, and taking care of any disposable items.

Required Qualifications
