Job summary

Wilsonart in Denver is seeking a Production Operator I to join our manufacturing team. This role bonds panels on the daily schedule, cleans the glue line, and supports laminate and core staging per the day’s production plan.

You’ll report issues, check materials, and help fill orders with attention to quality and safety. Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED and 1+ year warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• 1+ years warehouse experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to learn packing and material handling techniques.
• Ability to read and understand customer orders.
• Willing to work in an environment with fumes, extreme temperatures and noise.

Responsibilities

• Receives all material from facilities and vendors.
• Checks materials and places them in correct bin.
• Verifies material against manifest and reports discrepancies.
• Informs supervisor and photographs defective materials.
• Cuts laminate/core to fill pending orders as needed.
• Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders; assists with other warehouse duties.

Job Description:

Position Overview: Production Operator I

Wilsonart, in Denver, currently has an opening for a Production Operator I. This position bonds all panels on the day’s daily production schedule. They are responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the glue line. They work with both Laminate and Core Staging to report and replace any laminate or core that is damaged during the process. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
• Checks and places materials in the correct bin
• Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
• Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials
• Cut down over-sized laminate and core to fill pending orders
• Reads, interprets, processes, and packs ordersAssists with other warehouse duties based on business need
• Assists the needs of the customer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to learn materials inventoried
• Ability to learn packing techniques
• Ability to learn proper material handling techniques
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to drive a lift truck
• Ability to read and understand customer orders
• Ability to learn to operate a panel saw
• Ability to trim excess laminate off of panels with handheld routers on an as needed basis
• Ability to use various power tools as needed
• Ability to learn all working components of the adhesive spreader and press machine and troubleshoot issues if needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Graduate or GED

EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years warehouse experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Performing tasks with team members which includes lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs
• Continuous physical exertion such as walking and standing throughout the day is also required.

ENVIRONMENT

Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff

COMPENSATION: $21.37 - $26.05/HR, DOE

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
