Job summary

RayzeBio, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Bristol Myers Squibb, seeks an Operator 1 to join the Indianapolis facility and execute production of radiopharmaceuticals under cGMP conditions. You will support validation activities, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, compliant production area.

The role requires prior GMP‑regulated lab experience, aseptic technique familiarity, and a solid understanding of radiation safety.

Summary

The Operator 1, reporting to the Manager, Production plays a critical role in delivering RayzeBio's innovative radiopharmaceutical products to patients. This position supports the implementation and routine execution of a novel Finished Drug Product program manufacturing clinical and commercial‑scale radioisotopes.

Job Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Execute production of RayzeBio drug products (including raw material preparation, line clearance and cleaning, equipment/instrument setup, etc.) while ensuring compliance with cGMP, aseptic practice, and management expectations.
  • Support and execute validation activities for clinical and commercial manufacturing.
  • Support process improvements, both internally and cross-functionally, as opportunities present.
  • Support department with inventory management, including cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support day-to-day production operations, and upkeep of the production area.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance with EHS and Radiation Safety programs.
Education and Experience
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, particularly with pipetting and laminar flow hoods.
  • 1-4 years of experience operating in a GMP‑regulated environment.
  • Experience operating aseptically within ISO 7/Class C strongly preferred.
  • Experience with radiochemistry and/or radiopharmaceuticals strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience working in hot cells and/or gloveboxes strongly preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a STEM field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Skills and Qualification
  • Strong knowledge of GMP practice.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles.
  • Excellent professional ethics, integrity, and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure while meeting the needs of the production schedule.
  • Uses AI tools to enhance individual productivity and quality of work
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for long periods.

This is a position that requires working in a laboratory environment, protective clothing, gloves, and safety glasses are required while working in a laboratory environment with radioactive materials.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation Overview

Indianapolis - RayzeBio - IN: $31.07 - $37.64per hour

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job‑related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on ly entreopre.
