Job summary

HOSKIN & MUIR INC is seeking a Production Operator I in Whitinsville, MA. The role supports receiving, stocking, picking, wrapping, and shipping of inventory in a warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates will be able to read measurements, operate basic shop tools, and work well in a team. A high school diploma or GED is required, and no prior experience is necessary beyond a warehouse background being a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and inventory stock items against packing lists and orders.
• Pull stock and materials from inventory to fill orders and prepare items for shipping.
• Build crates for large orders and assist with packaging to ensure safe shipment.
• Maintain and organize shipping supplies inventory.
• Handle receiving and storage areas and assist with scrap cleanup.
• Perform duties as assigned.

Production Operator I

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Responsible for receiving incoming materials, counts and inventories stock items against packing lists and orders. This role also handles pulling inventory to fill orders and crating orders to be shipped.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handles receiving incoming shipments and moves material to the storage area.
• Inspect incoming materials and notify Supervisor of potential quality issues.
• Keeps receiving and storage areas clean and assists with scrap metal clean up.
• Pulls stock and miscellaneous orders and materials from inventory to fabricate wraps if needed and gets orders to boxing for shipping.
• Builds crates for large orders that are being shipped to Canada or require extra packaging in shipping to ensure product is not damaged.
• Maintains and organizes adequate shipping supplies inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read a tape measure and identify written measurements.
• Operates machinery including saws, drills, and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift glass up to 70lbs, stand, walk, and bend

Work Environment: Warehouse setting.
