Job description

Production Operator - Grafoil Processor - 2nd Shift

Up to $26.72 per Hour; Eligible for Shift Premium of $2.00 per Hour

Monday - Friday, 2:45pm - 11:00pm

We have immediate openings for a Production Operator - Grafoil Processor on 2nd Shift at our Lakewood, OH facility. The primary function of this position is to safely operate various types of equipment/machinery to process materials and products for shipment to customers.

Responsibilities

1. Work safely and comply with all HS&E regulations, policies, and procedures.
2. Operate production equipment and machinery.
3. Adhere to all quality standards.
4. Proactively suggest or implement adjustments to equipment and processes to ensure efficient and safe production of high-quality materials.
5. Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
6. Perform autonomous maintenance tasks as part of preventive maintenance programs.
7. Use rulers, micrometers, and SPC recordings to check material and product quality.
8. Perform data entry on a computer and maintain required written records.
9. Report maintenance needs for equipment.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Previous manufacturing experience required.
3. Experience operating production machinery/equipment required.
4. Experience with converting and automated equipment is highly desirable.
5. Must be clean-shaven for the medical pre-employment respirator fit test upon job offer.
6. Ability to work different shifts and in a team environment.
7. Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
8. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., climb ladders, operate hand tools, and operate a forklift.

Working Conditions

1. Frequent lifting, standing, bending, twisting, and stooping.
2. Most work performed in the manufacturing area.
3. Some tasks require wearing a respirator, e.g., furnace cleanout, and necessitate being clean-shaven.
