Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Portage, WI is hiring a Production Operator for the Gland Cell on 2nd shift. You will operate molding equipment, follow procedures, and support quality with traceability documentation.

The role requires good communication, team collaboration, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work 8–12 hour shifts. Training will cover 5S standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 62 inches tall to operate gland cell press.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to push, pull and lift 25 lbs regularly.
• Stand, walk, bend, push and pull objects up to 40 lbs for 8–12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding equipment safely and efficiently following documented procedures.
• Communicate problems to QC and technical resources to ensure quality parts.
• Follow good documentation practices including product traceability forms.
• Record documentation accurately.
• Clean molds and presses.

Production Operator - Gland Cell 2nd shift

Join Our Team in Portage, WI!
We’re looking for dedicated individuals to work an exciting team with great hours.

2nd shift Monday - Friday 2:15pm - 10:45pm

The PC1 Gland Cell Operator safely produces quality products per documented procedures. In addition, assist engineering and quality in day-to-day operations of gland molding machines including quality issues, plate cleaning, preventative mold maintenance, and press cleaning at work order changes. Position will be cross-trained with the “Part Quality Focus” and must be able to effectively communicate to operators and technical personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Safe and efficient operation of molding equipment by accurately following documented procedures while keeping the area clean and up to 5S standards
• Effectively communicate problems to QC and other technical resources to ensure quality parts are made
• Follow good documentation practices including filling out forms for product traceability
• Accurate recording of documentation
• Clean molds and presses

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push and pull objects (weighing up to 40 lbs.) for 8-12 hours during your shift
