Job summary

Forbo Movement Systems in Huntersville, NC, is seeking a Production Operator for a Four on Four off schedule with straight 12-hour shifts. You will safely operate embossing, braking, inspection, winder, coater and mixing equipment to manufacture conveyor belting and related products.

You’ll prepare materials, monitor quality, and complete production reports. Requirements include reading manufacturing instructions in English and metric units, basic math, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to

Qualifications

Able to read and follow manufacturing instructions in English and metric units.
Strong math skills for formula percentages.
Experience operating continuous-type heavy manufacturing equipment.
Must complete Forbo training programs.
Lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.
1–2 years of related production experience.
Coater experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate embossing, braking, inspection, winder, coater, and mixing machinery.
Prepare machinery and adjust gauges per instructions.
Prepare mixtures of PVC pastes per formula specifications.
Operate machinery, change rollers, ensure proper fabric feed and tension.
Inspect fabric and raw materials for defects and material quality.
Monitor production processes to identify and correct malfunctions or defects.
Complete and maintain required production reports.
