Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring a Production Operator I for the Extrusion Department. This hands-on role supports daily extrusion operations, assists with equipment, changeovers, packaging, and quality standards to ensure safe, efficient production.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with a $1 shift differential, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shifts, two paid breaks and a 30‑minute lunch. This full-time position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and on-time attendance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of required Packer I and Production Operator I assessments (forming or printing).
  • Ability to read and follow operating instructions, safety procedures, and work guidelines
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with machinery and elevated noise levels
  • Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Assist with machine setup, product changes, and production line support

  • Package finished products by bagging, boxing, labeling, and palletizing materials
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure product standards are met
  • Complete production paperwork, logs, and documentation accurately

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, GMP, and food safety requirements
  • Attend daily shift meetings and be clocked in and ready 15 minutes before the scheduled shift start time

What You'll Do

As a Production Operator I, you will support daily extrusion operations by assisting with equipment, production processes, packaging, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with machine setup, product changes, and production line support
  • Monitor equipment and assist with efficient operation of extrusion processes

Pay & Schedule

Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour

Extrusion Department Shifts:

  • F & H Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Shift Differential:

  • Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • No shift differential applies for hours worked between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Paid Breaks
  • Two paid 15-minute breaks
  • One paid 30-minute lunch break
