PRODUCTION OPERATOR - DRY VENEER NIGHTS - CAMDEN

PRODUCTION OPERATOR – DRY VENEER – NIGHT SHIFT

CAMDEN PLYWOOD

Starting rate is $20 per hour + $1.50 Night Shift Premium

Schedule: 36 hrs./48 hrs. - 2-week rotation.

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Production Operators in the Dryer Department of our Plywood mill in CAMDEN, TX. This is a Night Shift position with opportunities for advancement.

In this role, you will learn to operate machinery to meet production targets, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and collaborate with team members to achieve manufacturing goals. If you enjoy working with your hands, learning new tasks, and working within a team, this could be the job for you.

Responsibilities include:

• Learning to operate various machines throughout the department
• Adjusting to changing work schedules to meet business demands
• Performing clean-up duties such as removing trash, veneer, and debris from equipment
• Assisting team members while prioritizing safety

Additional considerations:

• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours/day in a loud, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and high-volume environment
• Lift and pull veneer, panels, or scraps up to 25 lbs.
• Work in various industrial environments, including hot, humid, cold, and noisy conditions
• Work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Walk on elevated catwalks over 15 feet high

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in at least one of the following areas: manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, construction, automotive, or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least six months of experience in a manufacturing, military, industrial, farming, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, or construction environment
• Experience operating machines
