PRODUCTION OPERATOR - LOG PROCESSING - CAMDEN

PRODUCTION OPERATOR – LOG PROCESSING - DAYS OR NIGHTS

CAMDEN PLYWOOD

Starting rate is $20 per hour + $1.50 Night Shift Premium

Schedule is 5 - 5 - Days or Nights

Georgia-Pacific is hiring Production Operators in the Log Processing Department at our Plywood mill in CAMDEN, TX. Candidates must be willing to work either shift.

In this role, you will learn to operate machinery to meet production goals, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and collaborate with team members to achieve manufacturing objectives. If you enjoy working with your hands, learning new tasks, and working as part of a team, this could be the right job for you.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Learning to operate various machines throughout the department
  2. Adjusting to changing work schedules to meet business needs
  3. Performing clean-up duties such as removing trash, veneer, and debris from equipment
  4. Assisting team members across the mill while prioritizing safety

Physical and Environmental Considerations:

  • Lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours/day in a loud, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and high-volume environment
  • Working in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial settings
  • Working 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Walking on elevated catwalks over 15 feet high

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, construction, automotive, or military environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating machines
