Position Summary

Production Operators assist other members of the production team by operating, cleaning, preparing, repairing, and monitoring the production equipment used to mix, screen, blend, grind, mill, crush, and process bulk powder compounds. They handle bulk materials, record information related to the production process, monitor processing parameters, and assist in process improvement initiatives and work plan development. This position is for the day shift, which is 4 AM - 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, with 8 hours of guaranteed overtime weekly.

Essential Functions

• Process bulk materials according to customer specifications using blending, grinding, crushing, jet milling, filling, conveying, screening, and other equipment.
• Monitor process parameters as specified in work orders.
• Read, understand, and utilize project documentation, quality, safety, and food safety checklists to set up and operate equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment to prevent hazards, including cleaning processing equipment and workstations per SOPs.
• Maintain and assist with the re-assembly of processing equipment for subsequent use.
• Complete inventory, safety, quality assurance, and order-specific documentation as required.
• Participate in departmental initiatives like inventory counts, shop reorganization, and cleanup.
