Job summary

Findlay Group is hiring Production Operators for Day (6:00am–2:30pm) and Swing (2:00pm–10:30pm) shifts in Caldwell, Idaho. Roles require lifting, ingredient addition, scanning inventory, and operating lifting equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring GMP and quality specifications, with training provided where needed.

Overtime may be required. You will work with maintenance and senior management to ensure safe, efficient production lines and accurate material handling.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina required to lift up to 55 lb bags/containers.
• Ability to follow processes and add ingredients accurately.
• Good communication with supervisors and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lift up to 55 lb. bags, boxes or containers of ingredients for blending.
• Accurately add ingredients to the process.
• Use scanners for delivery of ingredients and inventory control.
• Climb up and down stairs.
• Kneel, stand, walk and lift to complete duties during shift.
• Clean the facility where powders are used.
• Drive forklift and possibly scissor lift (training provided).
• Ensure products adhere to final specifications.
• Provide Maintenance with concise information to assist breakdowns.
• Communicate effectively with Senior Managers.
• Observe safe practices and lead others if unsafe practices are observed.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practice and lead others to do so.

About the Findlay business Group

The Findlay Family Group of businesses has been in operation for over 100 years, and is currently in its fourth generation of family management with the fifth oncoming. Originally a local bread bakery, we grew into the largest plant bread producer on the East Coast of New Zealand. In the 1990's we further developed into manufacturing Panko bread crumbs, Conventional Breadcrumbs and Batter coating systems.

Findlay Food Coatings Ltd was established in 2013 to operate in the USA. Three Powder Blending sites were built in Idaho to provide Batter Coating solutions primarily to produce specialist coatings for french fries.

Findlay is a Family owned international company with a reputation for innovation, thinking outside of the box and delivering what it says it will. Our head office is located at the edge of the world in Gisborne, New Zealand.

We are currently recruiting for two positions available as Production Operators; They work Monday - Friday, one role is working Day Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm and one working Swing Shift 2:00pm - 10:30pm. The roles could require some overtime. You will be required to, but not limited to, do the following activities:

1. Lift up to 55 lb. bags, boxes or containers of ingredients to be used in the blending process.

2. Accurately add ingredients to the process.

3. Use scanners for delivery of ingredients and inventory control.

4. Climb up and down stairs.

5. Kneel, stand, walk and lift to complete your duties throughout the shift.

5. Clean a facility where we are using fine powders.

6. Drive lift truck and possibly scissor lift (we will provide training and certification).

7. Ensure products adhere to the Final Specifications.

8. Provide Maintenance with concise information to assist in breakdowns.

9. Have effective Communication with Senior Managers.

10.Ensure Safe practices are observed by yourself and to lead others if bad practice is observed.

11.Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice is followed and to lead others if bad practice is observed.
